Prepare your presentation as outlined in the "Presentation guidelines" document (download from the conference navigation column). Then upload it after choosing your paper from the list below and entering your contact details. Pay particular attention to the format of your file name and your browser settings.
The name of your file must meet these specifications: (a) The name format is "firstpart.extension" with a total maximum of 32 characters (b) There must be no spaces (c) Legal characters in firstpart are 0-9, a-z, A-Z, '_', '-' (d) Ensure that there is no full stop within the firstpart, there should only be one in the whole name - between the firstpart and the extension. Most problems experienced at previous conferences were due to file names not meeting these specifications. They are restrictive to reduce potential exploits of browser insecurities.
Enable javascript for best operation (javascript is sometimes called "active scripting"). This will allow the display of a progress meter during upload. If javascript is disabled the file will still be uploaded but you will get no indication of progress. In that case you will not see anything happen for a long time if your file is large, particularly if your connection is only by telephone dial-up or normal ADSL. Look under "Help" in the top menu of your browser for instructions to temporarily enable javascript for the upload if you normally have it disabled.
After entering and submitting your data below, the next page will present a summary for you to check and will ask you to choose the file with your presentation. When you upload it, information about the file transfer will be displayed, your record in the speakers database table will be updated and you will be sent an email confirmation. Your file will be renamed to identify the day, room, time and first author of your presentation.
Revisions may be made and replacement files must be submitted through this web site in the same way. The system will rename the new file in a similar manner with a number included to indicate the new version.
