Recent publishing changes
From volume 1 (1956) to volume 25 (2004) all papers presented at each biennial conference were published together in one volume. These included (a) peer reviewed invited and contributed full papers, and (b) contributed short communications (1-page papers), which were subjected to editorial scrutiny but not the same level of peer review.
For the proceedings of the 26th, 27th and 28th conferences the invited reviews and contributed 4-page papers were published as special issues of the Animal Production Science (formerly, Australian Journal of Experimental Agriculture), refereed and edited to the journal's normal standard. The contributed 1-page papers were published by ASAP as Short Communications in 2006 and as "Animal Production in Australia" in 2008 and 2010.
Note: The "Australian Journal of Experimental Agriculture" is now named "Animal Production Science".
Following the publishing changes, it has been difficult sometimes to locate papers presented at these recent conferences. To help with this, the following items in the "Proceedings" drop-down menu above will display lists and download or access facilities for abstracts and/or the full papers.
2006: Papers published in AJEA Special Issue vol. 46 issue 6-7
2006: Short communications - published here.
2008: Papers published in AJEA Special Issue vol 48. issue 6-7
2008: Short communications - published here.
2010: A Livestock Library search for papers published in "Australian Society of Animal Production" in 2010 will display details and links for all the conference papers - both the full papers in Animal Production Science and the short communications in Animal Production in Australia.
