Overview
The Australian Society of Animal Production, together with CSIRO Publishing, will prepare a special edition of Animal Production Science to be distributed at Animal Production 2018 conference, 2-4 July 2018 held in Wagga Wagga, NSW.

The special edition comprises of two components:

  • Full papers: The first call will be made for authors to submit abstracts. The Animal Production 2018 editorial committee will invite a limited number of authors to prepare a full paper of 6 pages. The abstracts will be submitted through the conference website asap.asn.au. The full papers will follow CSIRO submission requirements with submissions made through the CSIRO’s ScholarOne Manuscripts portal.  Authors of abstracts which are not invited to submit full papers will have the option to submit one page papers (see below).
  • One page papers: A second call will be made for authors to submit one page papers. The Animal Production 2018 editorial committee will assess the papers and notify the author of the outcome. The one page papers will be submitted through the conference website asap.asn.au. Accepted one page papers will be published online alongside the special issue of Animal Production Science, meaning they will be fully searchable through standard databases, and citable as a refereed publication.

All full paper authors and contributed authors will be offered to present an oral or poster at Animal Production 2018.

The Animal Production 2018 editorial committee will be assessing full papers and one page papers for relevance to the conference theme (Fostering innovation through the value chain), soundness and quality.
