Please read the Newsflash and News Blog regularly for updates on conference developments.
Dates:
Sunday 11 July to Thursday 15 July 2010
Conference check-in registration will commence during the afternoon of Sunday 11 July and a welcome function will be held at 7:30 pm that evening.
The official opening and presentation of papers will commence Monday 12 July and check-in registration will be available each morning. Daily timetables will be available later when the overall program is established.
Conference Theme:
"Livestock production in a changing environment"
Sub-themes will be in the areas of food security and production, education, extension, and adoption relevant to the main theme. We also plan to have a session on precision agriculture. However, do not feel that your research is not relevant, we can accommodate anyone.
ASAP also has a number of special lectures: McLymont (Agricultural Systems theme), Underwood (Livestock Nutrition theme) and Harry Stobbs (Grazing management theme). Other invited papers based on the sub-themes will be arranged.
At present the organising committee is considering a day in which the livestock CRCs (Beef, Sheep and Poultry) at Armidale will showcase their research. |
